Advanced Orthodontic Technology in Guelph, ON
At Greystone Orthodontics in Guelph, Ontario, we use advanced orthodontic technology, including in-house 3D printing, LightForce™ Orthodontics, the SPEED System™ and the iTero® Element™ and Digital Impression System, to deliver precise, efficient and comfortable care.

Clear aligner treatment takes the metal out of orthodontics and gives you an aesthetic treatment option that produces fantastic, lasting results.
Often with this type of treatment, aligners are created offsite and shipped to our office, where we distribute them to you. However, using our own 3D printing capabilities, we are able to fabricate your aligners right here in our office, enabling you to begin treatment sooner and saving you a considerable amount of time waiting for new aligners during your treatment.
To begin your clear aligner treatment, we will generate digital models of your mouth and upload the data into our treatment planning software. From there, we will formulate a treatment plan that addresses the specific movement of each tooth to attend to your smile and bite issues. Once your treatment plan is complete, we print your first set of aligners and begin your smile transformation.
Aligners created with our 3D printer are made of the same material as traditional aligners, which makes them just as strong, clear, and effective as their more time-consuming and expensive counterparts. Plus, if your treatment plan ever needs to be adjusted, or you misplace one of your aligners, we can simply re-print a new set of aligners.
3D printing is just one of the ways we are dedicated to improving your overall orthodontic experience. Through advanced technology and our expertise, you can achieve the smile you’ve always wanted — faster and more cost effectively than ever.

Energize Your Smile with Canadian-made SPEED Braces
Having a beautiful, straight smile is a great asset, but most people don’t want to spend more time in braces than they have to. With the self-ligating technology of SPEED braces, you can get the smile you’ve always wanted with faster treatment times, increased aesthetics, and amazing comfort.
SPEED braces eliminate the need for elastic ties used with traditional braces by using an energy-storing component called a Spring Clip™. The Spring Clip, made of a super elastic space-age material, follows the programmed instructions of our office by applying a light, continuous force to gently move your teeth to the correct position. The result is greater comfort, potentially fewer appointments, and more “SPEEDy” treatment.
Why Choose SPEED?
✔️ Comfort
SPEED braces are miniaturized appliances that are typically 1/3 smaller than standard braces, and this can minimize discomfort and irritation to lips, cheeks and gums. Also, by eliminating the need for elastic ties, SPEED braces decrease the friction and pressure applied to the tooth, allowing the teeth to move more freely.
✔️ Aesthetics
Because SPEED braces are 1/3 smaller than traditional metal and clear braces, you’ll feel more confident smiling while your teeth are being straightened.
✔️ Hygiene
SPEED braces with their streamlined design and small size greatly reduce the chance for food to get trapped in the brackets. It’s also easy to brush and floss with SPEED braces, so you don’t have to sacrifice your good oral hygiene habits.
✔️ Advanced Technology
The only braces made in Canada, SPEED System Orthodontics has been a leader in high-tech braces for over 30 years. All SPEED products are manufactured in Cambridge, Ontario, by Strite Industries, a leading North American aerospace company involved in the development of the highest precision components for “next generation” commercial and military aircraft. The same expertise that goes into making the world’s most advanced aircraft goes into making SPEED braces.
We Are a Digital Imaging Practice: Proud Owners of an iTero Element Intraoral Scanner
We’ll Make a Great First Impression
The iTero Element Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital scanning system that eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional alginate impressions — no more messy putty in your mouth! With our iTero Element Scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed, 3D model of your teeth and gums.
Not only is an iTero Element digital scan far more comfortable than the old putty-based impressions, but it’s faster and provides images that are more precise.
Say “Goodbye” to the Goop-Filled Impression Trays!
No goop or gag to worry about
Fast, accurate scan for superior diagnostics
Ideal for all types of braces, including Invisalign® clear aligners and retainers
See a simulation of your potential post-treatment smile with the Invisalign Outcome Simulator (IOSim)
During the scanning process, we will use the iTero Element Scanner’s wand to capture images of your teeth and gum tissue. You can breathe or swallow as you normally would. You can even pause during the process if you need to sneeze or just want to ask a question.
The iTero Element Scanner will give us a 3D model of your mouth that we can use with all orthodontic services, including the Invisalign Outcome Simulator, to show you what your new smile might look like.
Conventional vs. Digital Impressions
No more goop, gagging, or discomfort. Using an iTero scanner, Dr. White can take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth and jaw. The new technology completely eliminates the tray and putty impressions, where the experience is comparable to stuffing a big wad of gum in your mouth.
The old technique is incredibly unpleasant and frequently results in taking multiple rounds of impressions that can be rejected, broken, or misplaced. The iTero scanner ensures a more accurate impression from the start, resulting in improved treatment and a more comfortable patient experience.
Digital impressions also give you the ability to see your teeth instantly in 3D, improving communication during the consultation and treatment process.
How Does It Work?
The iTero scanner digitally captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology. The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand. Once we begin the scanning process, it can be stopped and started as many times as necessary.
Your mouth is scanned with a radiation-free laser, and in as little as two to three minutes, the laser renders a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structures. Through digital software, you’ll be able to follow the progress of the scans, including a 3D model of your teeth on our computer screen. The iTero scanner can be used for any orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign.
